Space
Space is an important part of the universe and there are a number of important questions we can ask, both about space and our ability to comprehend space. For example, is space fundamental? Is space something which exists out of necessity or are there possible universes which do not require a spatial element? Is space eternal or is space merely the gap between existing material objects? Did there used to be an ‘empty space’ before the material objects which now occupy it?
These are important questions but also the way we deal with them can be affected by our own capabilities as experiencing beings. For example, is space a concept which we learn or is space something which we have the ability to intuit prior to our experiencing it? The latter would seem most likely yet this says a huge amount about how we have evolved and points to the conclusion that much of human character is of necessity rather than good fortune.
A good comprehension of reality will feature answers to some or all of the questions above and the nature of space will be a recurring theme within this blog.
